I remember writing letters to Santa Claus very well, because it was really hard for me to write something, what was going to have sense, when I was a kid. But we had no internet; we couldn’t just write in Google “letter to Santa template” and fill in the gaps, we had to be creative, to write everything in our own words. It was hard and we used twenty sheets of paper to write one short letter, which consisted of five sentences. But it was important for us to make it good, to write carefully with copperplate handwriting. And now we can just print the template and write a letter in 3 seconds. On one hand it is handy and fast, but on the other hand a letter to Santa Claus is not just any other letter, that we don’t care about. We write this letter not because we have to, just because we want to, want to ask polite to receive a present, that we have dreamed about. This letter reflected our soul, our dreams and emotions. And if we just find letter to Santa template, print it and fill in the gaps, what would that letter reflect? If Santa Claus really exists, I don’t think he would be pleased to receive such a letter and I don’t think that the author of template letter will receive a present, that he wanted to have. We should always remember that more important is to give something from ourselves, to be creative, to try, but to left a part of ourselves in what we do, than to do something just because we have to, do it automatically and forget about it. We should use heart instead of template.
